Through EMR Screen™ you provided your individualized inputs across our
standardized set of EMR/PM system feature and function points. We carefully chose which feature and function points to cover
within EMR Screen™, and behind the scenes we carefully decided what "weightings" to
apply to the various evaluation criteria, with the goal of helping a wide range of EMR/PM system buyers: from solo practices at one extreme,
to hospital systems at the other. That's all good for a high-level vendor screening tool, but the fact is that every buyer's needs
are special. By allowing you to bulid upon and vary these standardized inputs into your EMR/PM system buying decision,
EMR Select™ becomes a customized vendor selection and decision tool.
Customized Inputs
In terms of customizing your various inputs within EMR Select™, you have three
methods with which to work. One, you can add your own evaluation criteria into the mix. Two, you can remove standard criteria from
the mix. And three, you can adjust critera weightings in numerous ways. You can learn more about weightings
here. Each time you make an adjustment, you can call up new outputs. Has my returned
vendor list changed? Has the cardinal ranking of my vendors changed? And perhaps most important, you can learn specifically why
your outputs have changed.
Everything In One Place
With EMR Select™, all of your work stays in one place, and it's very well
organized. You can work on your own or with your consultant, but always on your schedule. Stop when you want and come back later.
All of your work product, including inputs, outputs, project notes, and more, are waiting for you when you return. You never have to
accumulate a pile of paper checklists, spreadsheets, notes, e-mails, etc. You can print whatever you want from
EMR Select™, but only what you want and when you need it (e.g., a spreadsheet
for a group meeting).
