We've Done Most of the Work for You

Using EMR Screen™ is relatively straightforward. You simply answer a Buyer Questionnaire containing a number of questions relating to EMR/PM system feature and function points. The Buyer Questionnaire covers a lot of ground, so expect to spend at least 20 minutes to answer all of the questions. You can put together a team to answer the Buyer Questionnaire, including clinical staff who are in the best position to answer the EMR (Electronic Medical Record or charting) questions, and front office and back office specialists who are in the best position to answer the PM (Practice Management) questions. Whatever works best in your situation. You can also use one of our consultants to help you answer the Buyer Questionnaire.

Flexibility

You have the option of responding with "Don't Know" to questions for which you don't have a good answser (either because you do not understand the subject matter, or you are just not sure about your particular need or preference at the moment), and your response will not be used in matching you with EMR/PM system vendors. If you run short on time, or you want to do a little more self-education before completing the buyer questionnaire, you can stop at any time and come back later. Your responses will be saved for your next visit. If you want to scrap an old set of responses and start from scratch again, you can do that too.

Embedded Self-Help Pop-Ups

The EMR Screen™ Buyer Questionnaire includes a number of help icons which you can click when necessary to call up "additional information" screens. The additional information may help you understand an unfamiliar subject area and answer a given question more accurately.

The End Result

After completing the Buyer Questionnaire, EMR Screen™ will return 4-6 EMR/PM vendors whose systems most closely match your stated needs and preferences. You'll also see a "scatter diagram" that shows you how your returned vendors stack up, best fit to least best fit, in a relative representation. Very valuable information!

Just the Beginning

EMR Screen™ might seem like the end of your EMR/PM vendor selection journey, but it's actually just the beginning. All of your information from EMR Screen™ is transferred seamlessly over to EMR Select™ where you can learn in detail why your returned vendors are at the top of your list. You can remove returned vendors, add others, and run the numbers again. You can choose different "weightings" for feature and function points and run the numbers again. Your unlimited ability to vary your inputs, together with a number of useful "outputs" that can be generated after each "run" (spreadsheet comparators, graphical representations, etc.) help you create a vendor short-list with great precision.
